Atherton Community Emergency Drill
Additional Information

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 8:00am to 1:00pm for the 5th annual Atherton Community Emergency Drill. Please see below for some important reminders.

What to bring/do on the day of the drill:

  • Wear layered clothing and comfortable, closed-toe shoes

  • Bring a water bottle and a lightweight rain poncho

  • If you have one, bring your Go Bag, especially your helmet, safety vest, and two-way radios with extra batteries

  • If you don’t have a Go Bag, we encourage you to bring a bike helmet or wear a baseball cap

  • Please carpool if you can

  • Sign both sides of the waiver and bring with you to the drill

  • Face masks must be worn at all times, except when consuming food and beverages

What to do in the days leading up to the drill:

  • Brush up on your disaster response skills with some brief videos (see CERT Tutorials handout)

  • Reach out to other participants about carpooling to the drill

  • Get a good night’s sleep the night before
